GSH Complex®

GSH Complex®

GSH Complex® for breakfast...starts your day with the ultimate functional food

“From humble beginnings, GSH Complex® is well on its way to becoming the number one Nutritional Supplement in the world!”
GSH Complex® is a functional food which, taken daily, will act as a precursor for the increase of glutathione at the cellular levels.

Glutathione helps regulate the immune system, protects against radiation, is a primary anti-oxidant and detoxifies cells. This includes the “Natural Killer” and
“T-Helper“ cells, which are essential for immune system regulation and act as the body’s first defense.

GSH Complex® is a natural product and has no known side effects.

Provida CVE™ is a vitality cellular enhancer that enables cells to detoxify faster giving them the ability to assimilate nutrients effectively. Also increases bio-availability. The milk is used to produce this product is derived from disease-free cows that graze on natural pastures. This product is not subject to any chemical, hormonal, genetic or hyper immunization influence.

GSH COMPLEX®
The next leader in high-grade whey protein isolate production
Nutraxis has a primary focus on two of its most outstanding products: GSH Complex® and Triozyme™, both formulated for superior quality and to meet the growing demand for these scientific-based nutraceutical and functional food.

The world is poised to embrace glutathione . . .
Glutathione, is reputed to be the body’s “master antioxidant” and an important healing agent. It is a protein that is naturally occurring in the body, with an important role to protect each cell, tissue and organ from aging and disease.

While some studies are conclusive in terms of providing these basic health benefits, other ongoing studies are looking at the significant potential glutathione may have in other areas. High levels of glutathione, for example, may protect against the dangers of cancer, heart disease, premature aging, autoimmune diseases and chronic illnesses. Intracellular glutathione status appears to be a sensitive indicator of the cell’s overall health and its ability to resist toxic challenges.

The reality is, though, that glutathione is being depleted from our bodies on a daily basis, and more in populations that are exposed to exogenous oxidative stressors (cigarette smoking, pharmaceuticals, hydrocarbons, dietary deficiency, strenuous exercise, hydrocarbons, ionizing radiation, tissue injury, iron overload, bacterial and viral infections and alcohol consumption).

Undenatured whey protein, a pure natural high quality protein derived from fresh bovine milk, has the ability to significantly increase glutathione levels within the body. It is a rich source of the essential amino acids needed on a daily basis by the body. As a result of new technologies, a variety of biologically active amino acids, peptides and fractions can now be isolated from whey protein. In its purest form, as hydrolyzed whey protein isolate (WPI), it contains little to no fat, lactose or cholesterol. Digested WPI has been proven to elevate intracellular glutathione by de novo synthesis, and can protect against oxidant-induced cell death.

Quality first!
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in the U.S.A. has recently established a new method to compare the quality of various proteins based on the amino acid requirements of humans. This method, known as the protein digestibility corrected amino acid score (PDCAAS), is now an internationally recognized method. According to this method, an ideal protein that meets all the essential amino acid requirements of the human body will have a value of 1.0.

“In terms of daily diet supplementation, GSH Complex® has now taken on the status of a ‘superfood’ for promoting optimal health, for possible prevention of disease, and for its potential as an anti-aging agent”,
Dr Robert I. Bender, M.D., FAAFP, Nutraxis Medical Board Advisor

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

GSH COMPLEX®
Proteins provide amino acids that are required for growth and maintenance of the human body. However, proteins from different sources are composed of different amino acids. Because of the differences in composition, not all proteins can meet the needs of the human body. It is important to determine the quality of proteins that are utilized in food formulations.

PDCAAS values of greater than 1.0 indicate a high digestibility and a high ratio of amino acid profile compared to FAO’s reference profile. GSH Complex® exceeds the PDCAAS value.

NOTE: The nutritional information herein is provided on typical composition of the product. This material is provided for informational purposes only and not as a specification.

Glutathione (GSH) has four major functions:

  • Antioxidant
To neutralize destructive free radicals and make major contributions to the recycling of other antioxidants that has become oxidized. The effectiveness of other antioxidants, such as Vitamins C and E, also depends on the availability of glutathione.

  • Immune Regulator (Immune System Enhancer)
The immune system is dependent on glutathione for proper functioning and is considered the body’s frontline defense against infection, whether bacterial or viral. glutathione also plays a major role in the body’s defense against the formulation and ongoing production of abnormal cancer cells.

  • Detoxifier
Glutathione can neutralize toxins, such as pollutants and carcinogens. The liver has the major responsibility for detoxification, and glutathione is the cornerstone of this process.
  • Radiation
Exposure to radiation from natural and other sources (including cosmic rays and natural radioactive minerals from sunlight and ultraviolet radiation) produces hydroxyradicals, the most reactive radical known. glutathione acts as a radiation protector.

Most Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is GSH Complex®’s bioactivity dependent upon?
Concentrations of 3 bioactive proteins contained in the milk serum hermolabiles: serum albumin, alpha lactalbumin and lactoferrin.
  1. What is the difference between colostrums and whey protein?
Colostrums has practically no cysteine molecules, the substrate needed for the intracellular production of glutathione. Colostrums is composed primarily of immunoglobulin and some lactoferrin - at least during the first 26 hours of production. As far as we know from experiments and clinical trials done in Germany, colostrums has shown no effect on the immune system due to the fact that the mechanism of action on the immune system is via stimulation of the glutathione synthesis. The fact that glutathione precursors in the immunoglobulin fractions are almost non-existent explains this lack of effect. On the other hand, GSH Complex® contains substantial amounts of thermolabil proteins that are rich in cysteine and glutamylcysteine, and are known precursors (building blocks) of glutathione. The replenishment of the glutathione in the lymphocytes determines the intensity of the immune response. Glutathione optimizes the proliferation of antibodies and lymphocytes thus destroying oxiradicals.

  2. How does the manufacturing of GSH Complex® differs from other whey proteins?
Propritary our production process in Trade World Provida CVE™. In the manufacturing of other whey proteins several things happen: In the process of heating and pasteurization, critical bonds holding the cysteine molecules together are broken, thus destroying or diminishing the very proteins that serve to raise glutathione levels most effectively. We’ve developed a process by which these delicate proteins remain intact in their natural form to serve us most effectively.

  3. What is the difference with products or pills that people use as supplements that are stated to be glutathione or cysteine?
Glutathione is produced intracellularly, thus simply taking a pill does not increase one’s levels of this master antioxidant. GSH Complex® is a natural delivery system from the cysteine to the cell, allowing the cellular levels of glutathione to increase.

  4. What is the difference between taking GSH Complex® and taking other antioxidants?
GSH Complex® is not an antioxidant but it provides the building blocks for the synthesis of glutathione, which is the principal intracellular antioxidant. More importantly, glutathione serves as a detoxifying agent for multiple toxins that we encounter on a daily basis through the environment and medications we’re exposed to. Glutathione has been shown to act as an effective protectant against ultraviolet radiation, an issue of great concern due to the continued loss of our ozone layer.

  5. Can a person who is lactose intolerant take the product?
Yes, GSH Complex® has less than 1% lactose, which will not create any ill effects even in the most severe case of lactose intolerance.

  6. Who should not take the product?
People with an allergy to milk protein, which is rare. Please note that “lactose intolerant” is not a milk allergy. Also any one who has had an organ transplant and is receiving immunosuppressant therapy should not take the product.

  7. What is the recommended intake of protein for an average adult?
70-80 grams of protein per day.

  8. What is the best way to mix GSH Complex®?
With any kind of juice or liquid that is no warmer than lukewarm. The product should be mixed with the liquid in some kind of a small container with a lid so that it can be shaken. Then it should be left at room temperature for 15 minutes and shaken again before drinking. It can also be mixed in apple sauce, yogurt or sprinkled over cereal. It should NOT be mixed in a blender, it should NOT be put into any liquid that is hotter than lukewarm temperature. It should NOT be mixed over one hour before drinking. This kills the bioactivity of the product.

  9. Is there a need to consult a physician?
GSH COMPLEX® is qualified as a natural health product in Canada and a food in the USA. There are no contraindications to this product except for those mentioned in Question 7. Other than in these rare cases, everyone should consider using GSH COMPLEX®

  10. Is GSH COMPLEX® priced competitively?
Definitively. A common mistake, though, is to compare GSH COMPLEX® to a lower grade whey created for bodybuilding. There are a host of whey proteins on the market today which range from very inexpensive whey used to hold cupcakes together, to the body building grade, to the isolate composition with therapeutic properties, which is what we are offering. GSH COMPLEX® is the highest-grade whey protein isolate available on the market today at a very competitive price.
